trad & indie

Between us, my co-author and I have published more than 50 novels with traditional publishers. Last month, we published our first indie novel. Would love to be interviewed about our decision to take a new direction. Thanks for considering us.

Our novel is "In the Territory of Lies" and it's an epistolary novel told primarily via email. We weren't sure how readers would react, but it's turning out to be one of the things readers like best about it.

Still looking for authors?

I first released my book with Lulu in 2007. At the time, it was called Shadows of Things to Come. I knew nothing about what it would take to be an indie author and a had a full-time day job (plus I was planning a wedding), so I just didn't have much time for learning about marketing or anything else.

Now, five years later, I'm definitely older and a bit wiser. I've retitled my book Unyoked to prepare it for its sequel (as yet unwritten), titled Unhinged. I've pulled the book from Lulu (I made a few sales, but nothing spectacular) and have enrolled in Amazon's KDP Select program (which is why I had to pull the book from Lulu. I'm currently editing it and will be releasing the improved paperback version via CreateSpace some time in the very near future.

All that was to say that I would be delighted to be interviewed on your blog, but I'm not very sure where I would fit on the experience spectrum!

Two-year Strong Indie

If still interested in posting indie author interviews, I would be more than happy to be on your blog.

I am a two-year strong indie author. I published my first paranormal mystery,  A TOUCH OF DARKNESS, in 2010; collaborated with a transgressive anthology collection for indie publish in 2011; and have followed up this year with another paranormal mystery, A TOUCH OF MADNESS. (Yes, they are part of the same series.)

Early on I went the route of "traditional" publishing and - well, we'll just say that was a phenomenal disaster. I've been scammed, hustled, conned, touted, praised, and acclaimed. For an indie author, I've experienced just about every curve and hill on the roller coaster one can.

Feel free to email me if you are still looking for authors to interview. All the best and BREAK A PEN!
